When I first grabbed the book I wasn't sure I was going to read it. Boy! was I in for a surprise! the saying 'never judge a book by its cover' certainly rings TRUE in this case. A must read!! I'm going to get the other two now as soon as I finish this review. Bloodlines has confirmed my new found love for this genre! It was mesmerizing! i couldn't put my iPad down at all! I was in tears and laughter. It was riveting! Bloodlines totally engrossed me and I am definitely going to recommend this to all my friends to read!!

I gave this a 4 because you cant choose 4.5 and my reason for this was because I wish this was a an adult fiction lol yes, after all the other books I have read this was missing sex! But that isn't a bad thing either. Afterall, this book was intended for the younger generation. There were some odd grammatical paragraphs but then again I wasn't sure if that is because I am a lot older than the age this book was intended for. So! as an adult, even I found the book to be AMAZING! And way worth more than the price given.

NOW THIS IS A BOOK TO READ, I HAVE THIS ONE AND THE SECOND ONE AND THEY ARE TOOOO COOOOL....YOU HAVE TO READ IT, WHEN IS THE THIRD BOOK COMING OUT??????
I have to admit this book was pretty amazing from the first page. Keira has spunk, talent, and a special additive. This is a must read for anyone that loves books that are unique. Loved Lindsay's book and I cannot wait to read the others in this series.
This is a deep and dark book. I love the story line. It was hard for me to get into it at first.. but then when i got into it i got into it head on! I couldn't put this book down. I believe that LInday Anne Kendal is so talented and a deep writer. She does what many don't. She actually gets into a back story.. while keeping the book moving. EVerything about this and the book that follows screams MOVIE!!! I wish someone other then my head would bring all this to life on the screen! You would love this book and the second one as well. I am waitting for the thrid to come out and to be sucked into the mix all over again! FANTASTIC JOB!!!!!!
I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but have been wanting to read it for a while now. I got sucked in right form page one and never let go. Bloodlines is an exciting story about some young adults that are in the process of discovering their magical powers that have been passed down from generations before them. Now they need to find out where the power originated from and what to do with it.

Bloodlines has so many interesting plots and twists I can't even begin to name my favorite. The author has you cheering for one romance and then ten pages later wondering if another route would be better. I love stories like that.

When I first started reading I thought "Secret Circle", but WOW I was so wrong. This book has everything and any paranormal lover would love it. The author is great with her action and leaving the reader saying 'just one more chapter'.

For those readers that are picky about editing, you will be pleased. This book is very well edited with only one or two typos. Now I did have a few little grips, but really nothing major. I found that some of the terms/slang used were not suited for this book. The story takes place in Salem and the author is from the UK. Now not that there is anything wrong with the words used, I just think they are more commonly used in the UK than in the US. I haven't met many Young adults/teens that use words like rubbish, or fancy. Some of the other words are right, set off and cuddle. All perfectly good words, just used a little different here. Sometimes I found this distracting and it would pull me out of the story a little. Not a huge deal though because one sentence later I was sucked back in.

Lindsay Anne Kendal has done an amazing job of creating her own world and making the vision come to life on the page. There were a few spots I wish she had used more description, but that could have made for a very long book. The flow was perfectly paced and when I did have to put this book down, all I could think about was when can I read more.

Lastly, I love first person narrative but it can be difficult to pull off sometimes. The author has done a great job of pulling this off. I did find a few areas where I felt the story was being told rather than shown to me, but really who cares? This was a great story and I loved it so much I had to begin the second book Torment the following day.

This is a great book you don't want to miss out on. The story Ms. Kendal has created is amazing and I love her visions on magic, heaven, hell and friendship. Pick up Bloodlines today and get swept away into a new realm you probably never wanted to visit before.
I love this book/series. I think Lindsay made a very strong female character "Keira", and the other characters are JUST as stand out in their own way. I breezed through this first book in the series. I read it EVERY chance I had. I was hooked right off the bat, and wanted MORE!! The author did an amazing job of creating, and bringing to life this story. With little twists here and there.. it only leads to wanting MORE of this story line! Job well done!

The reason for the 4 star instead of the 5 was the beginning of the book. It was a bit choppy. You could just TELL there was more story there, that for some reason, had been taken out in the finished book. *this version* I then found out there WAS a lot to the beginning, but she had gotten backlash for giving TOO much detail. It makes me sad, I want to find THAT book, and reread it. I'd recommend this. You'll LOVE it!
