I've been in love with the Fiery Boys for ten years now, so I was incredibly excited when they announced a reunion tour. Their music meant more to me than most people realized--it had literally saved my life.
Back before they broke up, most people screamed for Chuck, the tall, seductive singer. Gabe, the guitarist, was usually their second choice, although I never understood why. Besides, I didn't want those two. The one I wanted was River, the buff and sexy drummer with the shaved head. Buck, the blue-eyed bass player, was my second favorite. No denying it, these were four gorgeous rockers.
Not that any of this really mattered. I wasn't foolish enough to fall prey to the usual fan-girl fantasies that made people wait by the stage door and rip their clothes off. Well, except with River, who I could get pretty delusional about--he was crazy hot.
But then two amazing things happened. First, the Fiery Boys ran a contest, offering one lucky woman the chance to ride on their tour bus for a week.
And second, I won.

Amazing read and I loved it
I liked the mystery of figuring out who the hero is
I love to download a book from an author where no one has purchased anything yet and give a shot and I'm a sucker for rock star romance. For me this author failed because I need to be given a head's up if there are things in the story that I don't like/enjoy reading about. Ex Threesomes and then some, up to six at a time (groupie orgy). Yeah, not my thing. M/M action, not my thing either, I will say in this particular read it was not graphic, but it was still there just the same and I did like Gabe and River but ...still. We should be made aware prior to purchase. The other thing that I disliked was everyone was naked in front of the other as if it was a normal day occurrence and after sleeping with one member or an attempt, Annalisa went after Buck right away shortly after. After they slept together she paraded naked again in front of all of the band members to turn him on. What?! All throughout her excuse was that she was still just a groupie, I never felt she deserved that title. She was more of a dear friend and sister to most members, who truly cared for their well being so that confused me. The writing was good, no typos that come to mind. The ending, HEA for all. I really wanted to like this but I really dislike being in the dark, feeling blindsided with the multiple partners and the M/M, I'm not against it, but it's my preference to not read it. It does nothing for me but it was too much to overlook, that's all Chuck did. Inferna? Really, why not just call the police to have a little realistic in the story and Annalisa writing in return for her death? A little too harsh.
Honestly, this author is talented. The writing and her style was very good. It's the story I didn't care for and no one is more sorry than me because I love a good rock star read. Usually it takes me less than a day to read a book, I average 2-3 a day but because of my dislikes it took me days to finish and I was bummed! I will give this author another shot as long as the synopsis clearly states what I'm in for.
A mishmash. I wanted to like the book, but characters development was poor. They are one-note, flat, completely without depth. The fun, funny girl in the photo never appeared after she won the contest. The guys were all surly, except for the lead singer. He was all about orgies and nothing else. Sorry, but I can't even remember the names of any of the characters. I only remember one guy had to change his name.
The only one I vaguely liked was the ex-wife. Every song, every lyric and even the "grand finale" was a play on "fiery." That gets tired very quickly. The M/M stuff didn't bother me, but unlike another reviewer I wasn't blindsided. I saw it coming (pardon the pun) from a mile away. That was the problem. The author telegraphed every detail.
I wanted to like this book. This genre is right up my alley. I won't be buying Fame Book 2 if one is written.
3.5 stars. A typical Rock-N-Roll story But too much telling than showing...but interesting all the same. I like Annalisa's voice and I did like the writing. But I think the story suffered some from a lack of descriptive language. No writing errors and was edited well.
